Digital Empowerment Foundation

Digital Empowerment Foundation, a Delhi based not-for-profit organization was registered on December 2002, under the “Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860” to find solutions to bridge the digital divide. With no political affiliations, the Founder Osama Manzar initiated the organization to create economic and commercial opportunities for the disadvantaged using Information Communication and Technology as means. The organisation inspire individuals and communities to use technology for their own advantages and enables the widespread development, use, accessibility and affordability of digital content based on cultural specifics or language necessities throughout India.

The Vodafone India Foundation partnered with the DEF for the Mobiles for Good award and will work together on future projects.
